Type With Touch school clubs includes weekly group lessons within your child's institution as well as weekend sessions at Kingston University campus. Each session will include lessons, spelling, speed tests and games from which you can learn to type step by step, follow your individual progress and have fun!
The company will offer Touch typing lessons at school clubs, either before, at lunchtime or after school sessions, as well as group sessions at Kingston University and private sessions, targeted for special needs individuals or those who would prefer a more individualised support. The program will guide its users on how to use the correct fingers via a multi-sensory approach, but it also emphasises on additional literacy benefits whilst learning how to touch type.
The length and vocabulary of the lessons and spellings will vary according to the age group the kids belong to. The program has also a table of rewards, where kids collects medals and trophies to support them embrace and acknowledge their personal achievements. Every level completed unlocks a game to play. These games all involve typing to succeed, but they are set in a fun arcade-style to keep motivation high. The interactive software strengthens literacy benefits as it uses the 300 most common words in adult vocabulary, quotations and proverbs, a finger colour coding system, spoken and written instructions that includes key clues to remember where and how to type each key.
